According to reports, Novak Djokovic is receiving urgent care in Serbia following a successful meniscus tear repair on his right knee. The 37-year-old had to withdraw from the French Open and is not expected to play at Wimbledon. His chances of competing in the Olympics in Paris are also in doubt.

After suffering an injury during his round-of-16 match against Francisco Cerundolo at the French Open this year, Djokovic underwent successful surgery at the Ramsay Sante Sports Centre in Paris.

The Serbian publication Informer claims that Djokovic is taking a faster course of treatment in Belgrade, where he was seen on Wednesday morning, in response to a more alarming update from his surgeon.

It was reassuring to see him walk with only a tiny limp and no major difficulty before he left the hospital seventy minutes later.

It has been reported that Djokovic has chosen to receive treatment in a hyperbaric chamber, an oxygen therapy chamber-based recuperation technique intended to promote the repair of injuries to the muscles, bones, and ligaments.
