Juventus appoint Thiago Motta as manager for next three seasons

Thiago Motta, former Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain star, is set to sign a contract with Juventus on Tuesday, running until June 2027, according to Fabrizio Romano.

The former Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain star is currently in Portugal and is set to sign Juventus’ contract on Tuesday, which will last until June 2027, as reported by Fabrizio Romano. After completing the formalities, the Serie A giants will officially announce him as their new manager.

Motta played a key role in leading Bologna to a fifth-place finish in Serie A this season, earning them a spot in the Champions League. However, the 41-year-old chose not to extend his contract with the club beyond the 2023/24 season.

Juventus, who finished third in Serie A, parted ways with Massimiliano Allegri immediately after their Coppa Italia victory due to his misconduct, which included a tirade against match officials and alleged physical altercation with Tuttosport’s chief editor.

Looking to rebuild, Juventus is expected to make significant changes in the upcoming summer transfer window, aiming to adopt a playing style that reflects Motta’s philosophy of possession and advanced pressing.
